Great driving conditions and no news to tell about that.
We decided to take the Lewes-Cape May ferry. We got there early so we had time to stretch, walk around, poop, etc. It was overcast and windy, but exhilarating!
The ferry was clean, new and had lots of room to roam around. It's an 1.5 hour trip and after checking out the decks, I headed back to the car and slept with Q. They had to wake me up when we were unloading...
Made it to Cape May and gps'd to Jeanne and Vics. They were waiting and Jeanne had made fresh shrimp, green beans, corn on the cob, salad served with white wine. She had invited Roy Steinberg and his wife over for dinner as well. What lovely people! And Jeanne and Vic kept the conversation lively and sweet. Then we 3 ventured to The Cape May Playhouse to see the current production of Moon Over Buffalo. A very funny play acted with great ensemble work that had all of us howling and near tears! Roy had directed it and was also the greeter at the front of the house. Outside in the main courtyard stood a cluster of barber shop quartets, singing their hearts out. When we came to the front of the theatre one group sang for us, with Jeanne chiming in and mentioning her grandfather was a barber shop singer in Ashville, NC. So, we chatted and everyone was relaxed and beaming.
Came back to the Villa of a Million Waves and crashed!

Still checking you out. Missing you, but glad you are having such a fab time.
ReplyDeleteQ is going to be an old fart, and too cool around other shut in pooches when you get back. xx
