So much traveling and so little time to write...!

Thursday, July 31, Chicago.

Once we finished a very yummy, high protein breakfast of eggs, lox and tomato omelet,

Diana made a great suggestion to do the Architectural River Tour.  So, after cleaning up and deciding Q could stay home and watch dog TV, we set out for the 3pm cruise.  It was a beautiful / perfect day.

Patty and I got the tickets and waited for Diana. We decided to stand and wait in line so to get the best seats... which we did: in the front, no obstructions.

Once on board, Patty was in charge of getting us each a glass of wine.  Well, she came back with the whole bottle. Go Patty!!

It was just a delicious 1 1/2 hours with the docent having very lively and punctuated commentary.

That evening Trey and  his girlfriend, Patricia, came over for dinner.  We BBQ'd, showed off sword playing skills,

laughed until we cried,

and rebounded with a new sense of hope.  Life IS tough and sometimes, we have to BE tough... but, not too tough to lose love.  A newly restored faith that neutral will soon be 3rd gear.

The night lasted far too long, as Patricia had a 7am call, but it was clear, no one wanted it to end.
